Banagher Glen is a beautiful Forest in the Sperrins, it is one of the oldest ancient oak woodlands in Ireland and it contains Altnaheglish Reservoir and Banagher Dam. If you are ever going up for a walk I’d recommend taking a map with you. We didn’t and ended up walking all over the place, signage is pretty much non existent.
- Stripped Down Trees
- Falling Pines
- Banagher Glen Stream at side of forest
- Was glad to see this view after too many wrong turns!
- Some bleak areas (at least it’s a managed forest though)
- Path along Forest Trail at Banagher Glen
- Very beautiful Dam, made getting lost worth it!
- Bit bleak in areas, devoid of much visible wild life
- Heather and a small pine tree at Banagher Glen
